– you are like the poem I have always wanted to write

The world is cruel and unfair but wonderful and bright and giving and full, full of opportunities and light and people to love and meet and enjoy, people to be instant friends with, people to just know, people that become friends that become family, people who stay by your side, people that come and just leave, but sometimes they leave a little peace of themselves behind in you, even those who don’t change you somehow, and there are people who become lovers and then strangers, but oh you can hope and hope that they stay to become yours and sometimes you can manage it but mostly you don’t because first loves are bullshit but oh so sweet and then you fear for a second or even a third love so you turn back to those other people in your life, those that came and rooted themselves so deeply that they have become a part of you and you can’t even imagine a time when you couldn’t share your life with them and laugh at jokes and drink until the jokes become funnier, or travel and sightsee or just sit together quietly and enjoy the silent solidarity that meant we were all here and present and loved by each other; these people, the ones that fill the world with the strength of their own being, you must catch them and hold them not because you can but because you must, or else you’ll be lost when you come across a problem (or a person) that is just too big for your heart, or when a person who made you believe in the good int he world suddenly makes you agree that the darkness may be too powerful… and after it al, you are left as a person yourself, one that is an amalgamation of every person you have ever met and ever loved or even just liked, and then you are all the people who you will become because time is endless and it lives inside you and our hearts in an immortal circle of growth and change and…
