Why Vocal Chords? What are Frames?

Each individual has a timbre to their voice which is distinct, rare, and personal. Vocal Chords aims to preserve the author’s voice so they can strike a chord with their personal audience.

Instead of article sections, we have Frames to express all these different chords. We believe that Frames are a better representation of our values and mission as a journal to keep intact the author’s sense of self and movement between realms of dialogue in their work.

At Vocal Chords, we want to retain the authors’ voice including the structure, diction, and fluidity held within their choice of expressive format.
